I saw an article yesterday about psoriasis severity and your state of mind — whether anxious, irritated, stressed out, angry, etc. I’ve felt the effects of mental state on my skin hundreds of times, most often while angry or fighting with my wife. When I get angry, my psoriasis begins to burn and itch like never before — almost like it’s catching fire and getting worse by the second.
I try to stay calm and peaceful most of the time, and my skin thanks me for it. Maybe some type of anti-anxiety or calming drug would help psoriasis sufferers in the long term? How about meditation or aromatherapy? Has anyone had any success treating their skin with these alternative treatment ideas?
